New features and fixes to the site.
The site has been redesigned
Each category (rice, noodles, curry, seasonings and more) now has its own page, and the search box at the top finds products across every category. The top page shows just the highlights: today's cheapest rice, shopping plans and current sales.
Product types have been reviewed
We fixed misclassified products across seasonings, noodles, rice and more. Snacks and flour no longer appear among seasonings, hot-pot soups are now under sauces and mixes, and cup noodles without “cup” in their name are grouped as cup noodles.
Tofu & natto and rice toppings added
You can now compare tofu, fried tofu and natto, as well as rice toppings such as nori, furikake, ochazuke and instant miso soup. Oils and dressings have been added to seasonings.
Shopping plans launched
Each day we build an example basket for every store, starting with rice and adding products that are cheaper there than elsewhere, to get close to free delivery.
Site launched
Prices and sales of rice, noodles, curry and seasonings from six Japanese grocery stores in London, collected automatically every day.
